Join “Friends of Maile Shimabukuro” in the Wai`anae Rotary Club’s annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, 12/15/12. The parade starts at 10am, and goes from the Wai`anae Boat Harbor to Wai`anae Mall.
We are seeking candy/treats to hand out to children watching the parade. Please dress in Christmas attire if possible; campaign shirts will be available for volunteers. The campaign will reimburse volunteers for any candy/treats, Christmas costumes, and related expenses.
Lunch will be provided to volunteers after the parade at Wai`anae Mall.
Meet at the Wai`anae Boat Harbor entrance at 9:30am, or call to find us.
We recommend that you park at the Wai`anae Mall. A shuttle will depart near Starbucks between 9 – 9:15am, and take us from the Mall to the Wai`anae Boat Harbor.
Other options are to park at Wai`anae Mall and carpool (or catch the City bus) to the harbor, or park somewhere in between.
Since the parade is in the mid-day, it will be hot and maybe humid. The pavement can get hot. Please dress accordingly and bring some water to keep hydrated.
